This Saturday will be a big day in Allen. After waiting and being ever so patient, all area children are welcome to come downtown to visit with Santa and finalize their wish lists before Christmas. Plans are for him to arrive in town at 2:00 p.m.

The Allen men have jumped to the #9 spot in Class A rankings while the Lady Mustangs sit at 17. Both teams brought home hardware from the Pontotoc Conference tournament last week. The girls earned 2nd place honors while the boy’s 3rd place.

The home of June Vinson has seen numerous guests recent including Ambria Dagle and children, Glenda Hargrave, and Gerald and Marie Vinson of all of Trinity, Texas; and Ron, Londa and Charlene Lipke from Duncan and her friend from Lawton.

More than 350 East Central University Tigers are preparing for graduation on Saturday, December 10th, at 10 a.m. inside Kerr Activities Center.

Jonathan Walden, Allen’s agricultural teacher and FFA advisor, was recognized Wednesday morning, November 30th, at the National Association of Agricultural Educator in Las Vegas, Nevada. Walden received a 2022 NAAE Outstanding Teacher Award.
