Filing for the Allen City Council seats closed Wednesday, February 8th, at the end of the business day. As of press time yesterday, Braylee Dickerson had filed for Ward 1; Dianna Brannan filed to retain her seat for Ward 5. With only one filing in each Ward, no election will be held.

If no one files for the two remaining open seats the Council will appoint individuals until the next City Election in 2025.
