Big Day Saturday Santa Arrives at 2 Drawing to follow

Area children need to start making their lists to be ready when Santa visits in downtown Allen on Saturday, December 16th. Since there won’t be snow for the reindeer to pull the sleigh, the Jolly Ole Man will arrive by fire truck at 2:00 p.m. and visit with children on west Main Street. Beginning at 2:30 the Allen First Baptist Church will be giving away free hot cocoa, coffee and cookies during a drive-thru event at the church’s parking lot. They invite everyone to stop by and grab a refreshment.

Christmas is a time to come together, enjoy a good meal and be around the people you love. This year a Community Christmas Dinner on Friday, December 22. will be all of that. The event will also be a place for people who need a nice warm blanket, hat or gloves can come and get an item they might need to help them stay warm.
