May we always remember the long 17 days we just endured. It may not have been as entertaining as the winter of ’48 but so far it sure has my attention. It has been a time of something just getting worse. And yes it could have been worse. For many others it was. For me it started out on the 5. I took Pat to the doctor up in Tulsa that day. It was rainy and cold and when we arrived it was slick, icy and 23 degrees F. But we made it home okay only to watch our weather just grow colder and colder.

Gov. Stitt Asks for Additional Disaster Aid

Governor Kevin Stitt announced today he has asked the White House for additional federal aid for all 77 Oklahoma counties related to this month’s historic winter storm. The request seeks aid for homeowners, renters, business owners and government entities impacted by the winter storm from Feb. 8-20.

Milne Owns Scoring Crown

A record was set for the Allen Mustangs on Tuesday evening during the Regional Basketball Tournament. Senior Chad Milne scored his 2000 point with 1:03 left in the second quarter during the game against Talihina. It is believed that Chad now holds Allen’s scoring crown for his career.

On to Area!!

McLoud School is pleased and very excited to have Allen playing in their gymnasium tonight, Thursday, February 25 . The high school campus is located at 1100 W. Seikel Blvd, McLoud, Oklahoma. The gate will open at 5:30 for the 6:00 game. With different teams playing in the first and second session, the gymnasium will have to be cleared after the 6:00 game, then will reopen back as soon as the gym is cleaned.
