Services held for Steven Morris

Steven Ralph Morris, 65, of Atwood, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019 in Atwood.

Steve was born on January 31, 1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Ralph and Neta Sutterfi eld Morris. He was the third of four children. He grew up in Stuart and graduated from Stuart High School. Steve made Atwood is home over 20 years ago.

Steve is preceded in death by father, Ralph Morris, mother, Neta Morris, and nephew, Shawn Young.

His survivors include his four children: Lori Bulen, Mary Karigan, Jesse Morris, and Crystal Bear; his grandchildren Vincent Wolf, Kara Shelton, Wyatt Iker, Haylee Anderson, Joe Adams, Sarah Lewis, Landon Bulen, Tagan Bear, Tavia Bear, and Tatay Bear; and his great-grandchildren Josie, Kimeya, Anna, Axle, Kailee, Hvtche, Hanley, Jaycie, and Maddux. He is also survived by his siblings: Linda Evans, Cynthia Morris, and Rick Morris, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Steve had a cowboy’s heart. If he rode it, he’d break it. Steve retired after many years in the oil field. His younger days were spent riding bulls, breaking horses, and rodeo. He enjoyed yearly trail rides with his buddies. Steve loved to tell tall tales and kept you on your toes not knowing what would come next. He was an avid jokester. Steve never was very serious, but when he was you took it to heart.

Honorary pallbearers were: Jesse Morris, Gordon Null, Larry Henderson, Vincent Wolf, Wyatt Iker, Joe Adams, Landon Bulen, Tagan Bear, and Tatay Bear.

Memorial services were 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 6th , at Atwood Nazarene Church.
