Lavanda Ruth Rose, 79, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, went to be with her Savior on Monday, September 28, 2026, peacefully surrounded by her family.

The youngest child of Dewey E. Reynolds and Edith Fay Reynolds, Lavanda was born on October 7, 1946, in Ada, Oklahoma. She grew up in Allen, Oklahoma, on her family farm and graduated from Allen High School. Following graduation, she attended East Central University before moving to Tulsa to work for an insurance company. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, Winston Carl Rose. The two were married in 1968 and began their life together in Tulsa.

Lavanda is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Winston Carl Rose; her parents, Dewey and Edith Reynolds; and her brother, Lewis Reynolds.

She is survived by her three sons, Michael Rose and his wife Julie of Denton, TX, Carl Rose and his wife Jalynn of Newcastle, OK, and Shawn Rose of Tuttle, OK; her seven grandchildren, Annie (and husband Zach) Carrell, Lindi Rose, John Michael Rose, Lily Rose, Kaitlyn Rose, Carlee Rose, and Wyatt Rose; her brother Wendall Reynolds and wife Mary of Allen, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Kelly Reynolds of Allen, Oklahoma; brother in law Roger Rose of Tulsa, Oklahoma; as well as several beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2026, at The Free Will Baptist Church in Newcastle. A private family interment will immediately follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada.
