Karen Sue Strong Knock passed away Friday, August 13, 2021, in Friona, Texas. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 21 st , at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas with Kurtis Abla, officiating. Inurnment will follow.

Karen was born August 10, 1948 in Dalhart to James Arthur and Karlena Mable Cox Bishop Strong.

After graduating high school, she attended beautician school in Amarillo. She was an avid gardener, and gospel music was played as loud as possible while tending to her beautiful flowers. Her love for all things historical brought her to love genealogy. Karen was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution, and The Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

Karen married Donald Henry Knock in Lennox, South Dakota on April 30,1981.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Deward Lynn Strong; and a great-grandson-Copeland Johnson.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Knock of Lennox, South Dakota; three children, Vincent Koelzer and wife Amy and grandson Hunter all of Wheeler, Texas, Greg Koelzer of Wheeler, Texas and Valencia Koelzer Meier and husband Peter of Friona, Texas; grandson Landon Johnson and wife Shanda and great-grandson Archerall of Amarillo; grandson Michael Johnson and wife Jade and greatgrandsons Schaefer and McCoy, all of Canyon, Texas; grandson Donavan Johnson of Amarillo, Texas; sister-in-law Kim Strong of Oklahoma; nieces Dana Strong Abla of Dalhart, Nikki Strong of Oklahoma, and DJ Strong of Colorado; and many other nieces, nephews, friends and family members.
