Services for Loie Kay Elizabeth (Sumner) Livingston were held Wednesday, April 17th, 1:00pm at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Burial will be Thursday, April 18th, 11:00 am in Springfield, Missouri at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery with her husband, George A. Livingston.

Loie Kay passed away April 13, 2024 at her home in Ada, Oklahoma, where she took her final move to her “Heavenly Home.” She was born on November 3, 1935 at McCurtain, Oklahoma to parents Grover and Iva (Hester) Sumner. Loie grew up in the Stuart, Oklahoma area. She graduated in 1953 from Haskell Indian School in Lawrence, Kansas. Loiemarried George Livingston on July 16, 1967 and moved to Granby, Missouri. They had a cattle farm for seven years. Loie worked at the Neosho Hospital in Neosho, Missouri for five years. They moved to a farm in Lamar, Missouri. Loie worked at Barton County Memorial Hospital for twenty-five years and retired in 1999. Her last move on earth was to Ada, Oklahoma in 2019.

Loie was preceded in death by her husband George Livingston; her parents, Grover and Iva Sumner; three brothers: C. B. Sumner, Rex Sumner, and Ernest Sumner, and one sister, Doris Lewis.

She is survived by one brother, Claude Sumner of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and one sister, Twilla Thornton and husband Jim Thornton of Ada, Oklahoma. Loie had many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends that all loved her.
