Service held for Johnny Taylor

Johnny Ray Taylor, 54, of Spaulding passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at his home. He was born on October 28, 1963 in Holdenville to John “Bobby” Robert Taylor and Janet (Latimer) Taylor. He graduated from Holdenville High School.

Johnny Ray worked on several rigs in the oilfi eld. He enjoyed working on lawn mowers, tractors, cars and trucks of any kind. Being a mechanic just came natural to Johnny Ray and he enjoyed being able to help those he loved by fixing things for them. If anyone ever called upon him for help, he was there to do whatever he could to resolve their problem.

During his free time, he enjoyed going camping and hunting. He had a boat and liked to go tubing when he was out on the lake. He also liked going to Broken Bow and floating down the river and being with his friends. He was a member of the 4th and Broadway Church of Christ.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Taylor and brother Robert Taylor.

Survivors include his mother, Janet Taylor and special friend Dale Hankins; his nephew Mike Taylor and his children Cailin and Madison; aunt Shirley Shaw; and his good neighbor Susan Mayfield. He also loved his cat, Princess.

The funeral service was 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 28th , at the Church of Christ on 4th and Broadway, Holdenville. Gene Holliman and Terry Newell officiated the service. Pallbearers were Mike Taylor, Mike Davis, Terry Davis, Kenny Davis, Peanut McPerryman, and Travis Evans. Interment followed at the Atwood Cemetery.

Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
