Service held for Glenda McElhaney

Glenda Jean (Montgomery) McElhaney, at the age of 77, passed away on the afternoon of August 11, in the year 2020. Having been in poor health she passed from her loved ones while being hospitalized at St Francis in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Glenda was born on February 17, 1943 in Holdenville, Oklahoma at St Francis Hospital. She was born to Edward and Lois Montgomery. Edward and Lois had moved to California from Calvin, Oklahoma in order to find work and they were living in Bakersville,

Glenda an avid lover of flowers spent many years working in her garden and growing beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees. She will be remembered for her cooking and gardening skills. She spent many hours working and caring for her family.

Proceeding Glenda in death are grandparents; numerous aunts and uncles; cousins; a nephew, Billy Harrington; parents, Edward and Lois Montgomery; siblings Jerry and Ron Montgomery.

Survivors include her husband Richard McElhaney of Bixby; son Monty of the home; stepsons Darren and wife Sheryl and children of Tulsa, and Josh, wife Karen, and children of Tulsa; sister Kathleen and husband David Harrington, Allen; brother-in-law Charles and wife Sherry; sisters-in-law Sherry (Mott) Montgomery of Bixby, Phyllis (Smith) Montgomery, Wetumka; and aunts, cousins, several nephews, nieces, and many dear friends.

Her service was held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15 ^th , at Hudson Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, Holdenville, OK. Mel Latorre (minister) officiated the service. Pallbearers were Monty McElhaney, Josh McElhaney, Robert Harrington, Ty Montgomery, David Harrington, and Mel Latorre. Honorary pallbearers were Darren McElhaney and Jeff Corral.
