Lee Otto Harrington left this earthly life to enter his heavenly home Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 91, surrounded by his family.

Otto was born November 3, 1932 in Wardville, Oklahoma to William Bernice Harrington and Abbie Belle (Turney) Harrington. Otto graduated from Atwood High School. He married his high school sweetheart Imogene Leach on June 5, 1953. They were blessed with 70½ years and raised their four children together.

Otto served in the US Army during the Korean War at Ft. Hood, Texas as an Armor Communications Specialist. He was an equipment operator for 30 years at Wilson Foods in Oklahoma City where he retired. After retirement, Otto and Imogene moved to their farm in Allen, Oklahoma where he farmed and worked at the Army Ammunition Plant retiring as a Foreman in 1998. He was a member of the Allen Church of Christ. He enjoyed farming, raising peanuts, cattle, donkeys, boar goats, and gardening. He always liked keeping busy especially if it involved doing anything outdoors. Otto was also very interested in researching his family genealogy. He deeply loved his family and felt very blessed with each and every one.

Otto is preceded in death by his parents; his brother and sister, L.O. Harrington and Charlene McFerran (Tommy); sonin- law Mike Heath; and grandson Daniel Job “DJ” Sheaman. He is also preceded in death by his brothers-in-law Don Meeks, Phillip Legg and Harvey Holliman, as well as his nephews, Billy Harrington, Charlie McFerran and Jeff Leach.

He is survived by his wife, Imogene Harrington of the home; children Randy Harrington of Tuttle, Rhonda Marple (Todd) of Norman, Shelia Sheaman (Mark) of Ardmore, and Patricia Heath of Edmond; grandchildren Tristan Harrington, Derek Wilson, Chelsi Harrington, Landon Sheaman (Jessie), Ana Ponder (Christian), Jeremy Marple (Rita), and Jordan Marple (KC), great- grandchildren Aiden Burnett, Hallie Wilson, Brooks Wilson, Artemis Harrington, Ellie Sheaman, Ella Marple, Nate Marple, Crosslee Marple, and Londyn Marple; siblings Loretta Legg of Atwood, Glen Harrington (Joetta) of Atwood, Lois Meeks of Blanchard, David Harrington (Kathy) of Allen and Ann Janda (Terry) of Atwood, as well as his sister-in-law, Sue Holliman (Harvey) of Edmond, and brothersin- law Jesse Leach (Pat) of Henryetta and Clyde Leach (Jamie) of Ada; and many loved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Viewing will be 9:00am-7:00pm, Thursday, December 21st, at Hudson Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville. Family visitation will be 5:00pm-7:00pm at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, December 22nd, at the Allen Church of Christ with Mark Sheaman and Terry Janda officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Allen Church of Christ or by helping someone in need.

Interment will follow at Allen Cemetery. Pallbearers are Derek Wilson, Landon Sheaman, Steve Harrington, Mark Harrington, Robbie Harrington and Phillip Harrington.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
