Rites Saturday for Phillip Miller

Phillip Allan Miller, Allen, was born on January 6,1982 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Edward and Donna Miller of Antwerp, Ohio, and passed away on April 5, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, at the young age of 42.

He was a graduate of Antwerp Local Schools in 2001 and was in the US Marine Corps from 2002-2010. After being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, he went through EMT training and the Police Academy in hopes of being able to help people. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on the family vehicles or working with the youth in the area, coaching T-ball, umpiring baseball, or refereeing basketball, always with a kind word or hint on how to improve their game. He also enjoyed working with the Safety Team at church on Sundays and Wednesdays.

He will be sorely missed by his loving wife, Cherie, whom he married May 8, 2014; his children Derrick (19), Olenika (11), Ella (10), Via (8), and Regina (2); as well as by his parents, Edward and Donna Miller of Hicksville, Ohio; brother, Paul Miller and sister Tina (Ben) Shull both of Paulding, Ohio; parents-in-law Estell II and Stephanie Kauffman of Stonewall, Oklahoma. and Linda Kauffman of Ada, Oklahoma; brothers-in-law, Estell III (Christina) Kauffman of Ada, Oklahoma, and James Mudge of Stonewall, Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Shauna (Tim) Norris, Jericha Mudge, and Veronica (Jarred) Sibble of Ada, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother Chad and sister Anna; his grandparents Carey and Regina Miller and Lawrence and Betty McCalla; and his children Elizabeth and Shiloh.

A memorial service to honor Phillip’s life will be held on Saturday, April 20th, at Ada First Baptist Church at 2:00PM with Zack Hawkins to officiate.
