Rites held for Queston Yarbrough

Queston Dwight Yarbrough passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 70.

Queston was born December 30th, 1950 in Gerty, Oklahoma to Jesse Jackson Yarbrough and Ninnie Mae Woodall Elliott. He graduated from Calvin Public Schools in 1969. Queston was a self-employed carpenter in the Ada area for over 50 years. Queston served in the Oklahoma National Guard for six years. He married Mary LaFave February 16, 1990 in Ada, Oklahoma.

Queston enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working, gardening and cooking. He loved spending time with his grandkids, family and working with his brother and nephew.

Queston is preceded in death by his father, and 11 siblings.

He is survived by his mother Ninnie; wife Mary of the home; step-son Shanon Dodson of Ada; daughter Michel and husband Jeff Cosby of Stratford; grandchildren Clint Cosby, Kara King, Colton Cosby, and Trevor Dodson; great-grandchild Brailynn Dodson; siblings Donnie Cox and wife Jean of Ada, Quinton Yarbrough and wife Karen of Gerty, Hilda Battershell and husband Mark of Calvin and Georgia Yarbrough of Alabama. Queston is survived by numerous other family and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thursday, August 19 th , at Calvin Free Will Baptist Church with Minister Delton Tollett officiating. Interment will follow at Calvin Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Rusty Hudson, Alvin Orr, Clint Cosby, Colton Cosby, Trevor Dodson and John Cox. Honorary pallbearers are Dee Moore and Jeff Cosby.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
