Nancy Jean Carrell, 63, of Ada, Oklahoma Oklahoma passed away on May 15, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Nancy was born December 30, 1959 to Herbert Bratcher and Lois Maxine (White) Bratcher in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Nancy attended and graduated from Warren East High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She married Kenneth Carrell on January 30, 1986 in Mineola, Texas. Together they raised their children Jonathan Herald, Chasity Young, Mandy Kartchner, Treasure Carrell, Steven Carrell, Christina Temple and Chad Herald. Nancy worked for the Oklahoma Blood Institute for nineteen years as a phlebotomist. During her career with OBI she helped save 37,748 lives. Nancy had a servant’s heart and was dedicated to serving in any capacity that was needed. Nancy loved the outdoors whether it be camping, fishing, boating or hunting with her husband. She also enjoyed shopping, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Kenneth, children, Jonathan Herald and wife Tamara, Chasity Young, Mandy Kartchner, Treasure Carrell, Steven Carrell, Christina Temple, grandchildren, Dakota Herald, Katelyn Herald, Landyn Young, Cheyenne Schmidt, Sheradyn Kartchner, Braden Vankirk, Harrah Temple, Atheena Temple, Megan Temple, and Tara Temple, siblings, Shirley Jones, Wanda Duncan, Rida Miller, and Wayne Bratcher, and seven great grandchildren.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Chad Wayne Herald, and a brother, Michael O’Neil.

Funeral services were Saturday, May 20th, 2023 at Stonewall First Baptist Church in Stonewall, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Tupelo, Oklahoma. A family visitation was held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, May 19th, 2023 at Estes- Phillips Funeral Home in Ada, Oklahoma.
