Eddie Albert Harman passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at his home in Allen, Oklahoma at the age of 78.

Ed was born January 24, 1943 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to J.B. Harman and Fay Jones Harman. Ed graduated from Hughes High School. He attended Northeastern, OU and ECU and received his Bachelors degree.

Ed married Mary Moore January 6, 1968 in Denton, Texas. He was a teacher at Loco, Wanette, Graham, Calvin, Allen, Moss, Maud, Velma and Fox. He coached boys and girls basketball, baseball and softball. Ed was a member of the Oklahoma Girls Coaches Hall of Fame. He enjoyed calf roping and training horses. Ed loved spending time with family and friends.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents and brother Doug Harman.

He is survived by his wife Mary Harman of the home, son Ty Harman and wife Crystal of Silo, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Cassidy, Bradi, and Nash; and brother, Tommy Harman and wife Jan of Tupelo, Oklahoma. Ed is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 31 st , at the Ed Harman Gymnasium in Maud, Oklahoma with Pastor Cody Deevers officiating and Bruce Plunk will be speaking.

Honorary pallbearers are Bruce Plunk, Greg Mills, Mike Stewart, Duwane Cassell, Harold Swarb, Don McKee, Edd Windle, Wayne Cobb, Billy Moss, Steve Rowsey, Bubba Tidwell, Paul Lucy, Lewis Reynolds, Gil Turpin, Cotton Roland, David Chapman, Leo Stagner and former players.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
