Bob Triplett Passes Away
Bobby Ray Triplett was born in Allen on April 14, 1934 to Thurman and Marie Triplett. He passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019.
Bob graduated from Allen High School and then served in the military. He married Carolyn Tate and the couple celebrated 56 years together.
Bob and Carolyn moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where Bob worked for an oil company until he retired. After he retired, he and Carolyn moved back to Allen.
Bob had so many friends and relatives in Allen. He was very happy when he and Carolyn could move back to Allen where he would spend the rest of his life. Bob loved sitting outside in his swing where he waited for friends to stop and visit.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; his parents, Thurman and Marie Triplett; his sons Galen and Troy; a sister, Thurma Jean Murphey; and a brother, Harlan Triplett.
Survivors include his daughter, Melissa Valenzuela of Allen; two granddaughters, Taylor and Morgan Valenzuela of the home; one grandson, Preston Troy Triplett of San Antonio, Texas; two great-grandsons; and two sisters, Jennye Sue Ervin and Georgia Gray, both of Allen.
Graveside services will be held in the Allen Cemetery on Saturday, February 9th , at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family are welcome.
