Berniece Crane Passes Away

Bernadine Berniece Crane, a longtime Centrahoma resident, passed away December 27, 2019, at the age of 91 in Holdenville. She was born May 8, 1928, to Ransom and Elsie Shope in Sand Springs.

Berniece attended and graduated from Centrahoma High School and attended ECU in Ada. Berniece retired after 32 years as a postmaster at the Centrahoma post offi ce.

She married Jack Crane on August 4, 1947, in Olney, Texas. He preceded her in death May 8, 1995. She was a longtime member of the Clarita Methodist Church. Berniece loved sewing, gardening, canning, camping and fishing, but most of all loved her family.

Berniece is survived by sons David Crane and wife, Linda, of Centrahoma, Ken Crane and wife Debbie of Seminole, Tom Crane of Centrahoma, and Jim Crane of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren Clint Crane and wife, Stefanie, Julie Lee and husband, Chesston, of Ada, Kari Laxson and husband, Courtney Waugh and husband, Derek, of Edmond and Casey Crane of Dallas; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Alice Willis and husband, Rance, of Allen; and cousins Pat Burghart of Broken Arrow and Ella Robinson, Prague.

Berniece was preceded parents and husband.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 2, at Coalgate United Methodist Church, with Pastor Lyle Shipley offi ciating. Burial will follow at Centrahoma Cemetery.
