Donations Sought for Scholarships

The annual Masonic Lodge scholarships to two deserving Allen graduates has always used funds from the Mother’s Day luncheon as their primary source of income. This year, due to the need for “social distancing”, the Lodge will not be doing the meal but do plan to award the scholarships if possible.

The Allen Elementary School will celebrate the end of the 2020 school year with a parade this Friday, May 8, from 10:30 to 11:30 am. All parents of elementary students are asked to participate to make this unusual end to an unusual year special for their children.

No Memorial Day Service at Atwood

Due to the Corona Virus, the Atwood Cemetery will not hold their regular Memorial Day service. However someone will be at the cemetery collecting money for the upkeep during the holiday weekend, May 22 to 24 .
