Allen’s graduates of 1983 will celebrate their 40th class reunion with a gathering at the Ada Elks Lodge, 3850 Arlington Street (Hwy 1), Ada, on Friday evening, June 16th. Class members and their guests will gather at 5:30 for dinner and a time to catch up and reminisce.

Summer is here and the Allen Pool is the perfect place to spend those hot afternoons. The pool is open weekdays 1-5. On Tuesday and Thursdays they open back up from 7-9 for night swim.

On the evening of June 2, 2023, Stephen Ray Dobbins, 79 of Allen, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born in Maud, Oklahoma on September 15, 1943, to Richard (Dick) and Beloysa (Bea) Dobbins. He was raised in St. Louis Oklahoma and graduated from St. Louis School in May 1961.

Brandi Renee Jones, 54, of Eufaula, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at her home. Brandi was born on May 18, 1969 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Roy Oliver and Sherry Ann (Smith) May. Brandi lived in southern Arizona as a child and then moved to Oklahoma in elementary school. In 1987, she graduated from Allen High School. Brandi married Travis Jones on June 27, 1987. They were happily married for thirty-five years and to this union two children were born, Seth and Emily. She raised her children in Arkoma, Oklahoma and Ft. Smith, Arkansas and was able to spend over ten years at home with them while they were in school. Her husband and children remember those years fondly. Brandi also attended classes at OSU Technical College in Okmulgee and the University of Arkansas in Ft. Smith. She worked as a substitute teacher at Arkoma and Ft. Smith Schools and was also the assistant basketball coach at Arkoma for a few years. Brandi later worked from home as inside sales support for Rocky Mountain Baldor in Denver, Colorado.
