Edward Leon Jarrett, 74, of Ada, Oklahoma passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 in Ada.

Edward was born on July 20, 1947 in Miami, Arizona to Marvin Louie Jarrett and Marjorie Louise Damron Mosley. He grew up in the Allen and Ada areas, and attended Vanoss Public Schools.

Edward worked in the maintenance Department at East Central University and at Brockway Glass in Ada. On August 5, 1969, Edward married the love of his life, Carol (Boyd). The couple were married for 52 years until his passing and had two children together.

When Edward wasn’t working, he enjoyed a number of activities and hobbies. He was always interested in guns and gun trading, as well as hunting, fishing, and, of course, spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Jarrett and Marjorie Mosley, and Clifford and Mary Jarrett; two brothers, Floyd and Arthur Jarrett; a sister-in-law, Connie Tatum; a brother-in-law, Danny Boyd; as well as numerous aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Jarrett, of the home; two sons, Marvin Jarrett of Ada and Scott Jarrett and wife Jennifer of Union Valley; four grandchildren, Tyler Jarrett and wife Kayla, Tanner Jarrett, Brady Jarrett, and Logan Jarrett; three greatgrandchildren, Bryson Jarrett, Rucker Jarrett, and Reese Jarrett; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, February 22 nd , at Richmond Baptist Church in Allen, Oklahoma, officiated by Bro. Jamie Perry. Interment will follow at Allen Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tyler Jarrett, Tanner Jarrett, Jason Cox, Alan Lay, Brady Jarrett, and Logan Jarrett.
