Service held for Pauline Cofer

Sarah “Pauline” Cofer passed away Thursday, August 22nd, 2019 at Holdenville General Hospital at the age of 90.

Pauline was born May 11, 1929 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Larkin Lee Russell and Eva Golden (Thorpe) Russell. Pauline attended Oak Grove public school. She married James D.(Bill) Cofer in Holdenville on March 16, 1946. She was a member of Atwood Church of Christ. Pauline was a soldier’s wife and supported the mission. She worked in the Sharpes Department and was affectionately named C.E.O. of the home by her family.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband James D.(Bill) Cofer and grandson Jonathan Cofer.

She is survived by her son James (Jim) Cofer and wife Donna of Holdenville; daughter Donna Bowden and husband John (Buzz) of Stapleton, Georgia; three grandchildren, James Cofer III and Amy, Kellie and David James, and Paula and Jim Osgood; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Pauline is also survived by numerous other family and friends.

Funeral service was 10:30 AM Monday, August 26th , at the Atwood Church of Christ in Atwood, Oklahoma with Keith Warren speaking. Interment followed at Holdenville Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Cofer, David James, Logan James, and Stephen Lamb.

Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Holdenville, Oklahoma.
