Rites held for Cheryle Janes

Cheryle Kay Janes passed away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at the age of 61 years.

Cheryle was the daughter of Willie and Clara (Hyatt) Brown, born on April 30, 1959 in Seminole, Oklahoma.

She was married to John Janes on May 22, 1982. They made their home in Holdenville, and were blessed with two children, Nick and Megan. Cheryle never lost her interest in being of service to people, and cared not only for her parents, but for others as well. She was a very good gifter and loved making people smile. What she loved most was spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was a member of New Life Church in Wewoka.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Amber; her parents, Willie and Clara Brown; and her sister, Judy Romano.

She is survived by her son, Nick Janes and wife Jessica, of Atwood; her daughter, Megan Janes, of Mooreland; two grandchildren, Jaelyn Janes and Jace Janes, of Atwood; sister Deborah Fairchild of Edmond; brother, Billy Brown of Seminole; half-sister Becky; the father of her children, John Janes of Holdenville; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5th , at New Life Church in Wewoka, and Cheryle was laid to rest at Holdenville Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Azlin was the officiating minister. Pallbearers were Sean Moslander, Kaleb Moslander, Kaden Moslander, Zac Romano, Shan Moore, and Danny Moore. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Cates, Derek White, Bill Brown, Clayton Cornelius, Justin Smith, and Tom Janes. www.fisherfh.net
