Rites held for Betty Rinehart

Betty Jean Lee-Rinehart, 89, of Allen, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022 in Allen. Betty was born February 15, 1933 to her parents James and Jewel Burke in Olney, Oklahoma.

As a young woman, she had two children, whom she adored greatly, son Larry Don Lee, and daughter Sheron Fitzgerald. She spent most of her working life as a proud homemaker and stay at home mother, ensuring that her children always had a lovely place to call home. Betty also found joy spending time harvesting her garden, for everything she grew, she would can and store away for another day.

Betty enjoyed sewing and also gained a rather impressive collection of dolls over the years of her life. Though she appreciated all of these hobbies, her favorite thing in life was spending time with her children and in later years her grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her son Larry Lee; daughter Sheron Fitzgerald; sisters Linda Eddings, Margie Jump, Connie Langston, and Della Faubion; grandchildren Chisum Lee, Trucker Lee, Colton Browning, Cassandra Benton, Kimberly Pryor, and Christopher Alford.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband Thurman Rinehart; parents James and Jewel Burke; brother Frank Burke; and her sister Anna Bell Burke.

Graveside services were at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 21st, Allen Cemetery, in Allen, Oklahoma.
