James Shed Passes Away

James “Harold” Shed was born on July 7, 1935, to Jim Howard and Mayme Belle Franks Shed. He passed away at his home in Holdenville, on September 11, 2022.

Harold was raised in Atwood and moved to Holdenville after marrying Roberta Ilona Smith. He worked at the Ammunition Depot in McAlester for many years and retired from the Oklahoma State Highway Department.

Harold was well known for the care and detail that he put into keeping his yard and vehicles looking perfect. When he wasn’t mowing his yard, or washing a vehicle, he could probably be found at a car show or parade with his pride and joys, his 57 Chevy Bel Air and 72 & 66 Chevrolet Pickups. Harold loved his vehicles almost as much as his family.

He is deeply missed by his wife of 63 years Roberta Ilona Smith Shed; son, Jimmy Shed, of Houston Texas and daughter, Kimberly Shed of Holdenville; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
