Dwain Tate Passes Away

Dwain Enos Tate passed away Thursday, April 10th, 2025 at his home in Atwood, Oklahoma at the age of 89.

Dwain was born November 3rd, 1935 in Allen, Oklahoma to Luther Edgar Tate and Mable Meda (Plunk) Tate. He attended Allen Public School. Dwain married Joy Raper on June 25, 1960. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1960. Dwain worked as a mechanic and farmer. He was a member and Elder of the Atwood Church of Christ.

Dwain is preceded in death by his parents, brother Lindon Tate and sister Weona Wilcox. He is survived by his wife Joy Tate of the home, sons, Thad Tate and wife Oneta of Atwood, Randy Tate and wife Leslie of Shawnee, grandsons, Lance & Storm Tate, granddaughter Danielle Myers and husband Connor, great grandchildren Shaylee Tate, Delilah Conners and several special nieces and nephews.
