Born on August 20, 1968, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, Carmen was a beacon of kindness, strength, and resilience to all who knew her.
Carmen was the cherished daughter of Leroy and Judy Dunn of Calvin, whose unwavering support was a testament to the love that bound their family together.
She is survived by her devoted parents; her brother, Jason Dunn (Cristina) of Calvin; and her beloved nephew, Connor Dunn (Riley), of Calvin; and the love of her life, David Nolen; along with aunts, Yvonne (Bo) Wylie and Sue Woodruff of Calvin; uncles Ben (Pat) and Rob (June) Jones of Missouri; and many special family members and friends.
Carmen’s legacy continues through her daughter, Courtney Evans, and son-in-law, Jake Evans, alongside her treasured granddaughters, Harlow, Ava, and Kaycee Evans. Her family was the center of her universe, and she was never shy about expressing her love and pride for them. Her expansive circle of family and friends will forever hold her memory close.
A woman of profound grace and sincerity, Carmen was known for her kind soul and ever-present smile, even in the face of adversity. Despite her long battle with Friedreich’s Ataxia, Carmen remained active in the lives of those she loved. She attended every ballgame and school event she could for her daughter, Courtney, and was a constant presence at family gatherings until she was no longer able. Her love for comedy, mystery, romance, and game shows like Wheel-of-Fortune was an evening ritual she shared with her parents for years. These moments brought joy and laughter to her days, a testament to her vibrant spirit.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the love, support, and presence of friends and family during this difficult time. Your kindness is deeply appreciated and will never be forgotten.
