Bennie Harold McDonald passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020, at his home in Calvin, Oklahoma at the age of 86.

Bennie was born September 10, 1933 in a log cabin in Stuart, Oklahoma to Joe McDonald and Mable (Bannon) McDonald. He graduated from Calvin Public School. Bennie married Ruth Sneed on December 20, 1958. He was a billboard poster for high signs and was a member of the Painters Union. Bennie was a stage manager for the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and built bridges in Baton Rouge. He loved to hunt and fish. Bennie was one of 10 children.

Bennie is preceded in death by his parents; wife Ruth; son Brent McDonald; and sisters Betty and Mary.

He is survived by his sons Leslie McDonald and wife Tina of Noble, Gary McDonald and wife Sharon of Midwest City, Terry McDonald and wife Rosella of Oklahoma City, and Harold Wayne (Pete) McDonald and wife Charlotte of Minnesota; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings Woodrow McDonald, Modean Beck, Ronnie McDonald, Robert McDonald, Eddie McDonald, Neda Broege, and Danny McDonald; and numerous other family and friends.

Funeral service was 2:00 PM Monday, February 3rd , at Calvin Baptist Church in Calvin, with Pastor Kurtis Stoll officiating. Pallbearers were Catlin Tullis, Curtis McDonald, Brad Rogers, Aaron McDonald, Aiden McDonald, Jeremy Hulsey, Josh McDonald and Derek McDonald.

Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
