The Allen High School gym was electric Saturday night as both the Mustangs and Lady Mustangs turned their Class A district title games into a definitive statement of intent for the postseason.
The Class A No. 7 Lady Mustangs delivered a masterclass in dominance Tuesday night, dismantling the No. 8 2A Lady Latta Panthers 52-32 behind a suffocating defense and relentless balanced scoring attack.
The Allen Cheerleaders were honored with the Academic Achievement plaque at the High School Game Day Competition, earning recognition for the highest team GPA in their division. The award highlights the squad’s dedication to excellence both in the classroom and on the mat.
The Mustang men have battled through a demanding stretch of games, taking the floor Thursday, Friday, Tuesday, and opening the Preston Tournament on Wednesday. Despite the busy schedule, Allen remained undefeated, going 4-0 over the span.
The Allen Men rolled through the SEC Stringtown Tournament with wins over Soper, Savanna and Colbert . The opening game against Soper the mustangs demolished them 87-17.
