Parents of new and returning students who will be attending Allen Elementary School this fall may register their children on Tuesday, August 5th, and Thursday, August 7th, between 10:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Other appointment times are available upon request.

The annual Meet the Teachers for Allen’s elementary students and their parents will be Tuesday, August 12th, from 5:30 to 7:30. This is also an opportunity to bring the child’s school supplies to their classroom.

Join the Allen Masonic Lodge for breakfast Saturday, August 2nd, from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m., at the Lodge on West Broadway.

Tyler Raney of Calvin graduate of Byng High School, has been selected to participate in the East Central University’s 2025-26 President’s Leadership Class (PLC). President Wendell Godwin made the announcement this week.

The Allen Public Library hosted “Color Our World” last Wednesday, July 16th. The morning event, held from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, was under the direction of artist Destiny Graham.
