The scoreboard was lit up for 99 points last Thursday night, but the Mustangs broke the half-a-hundred mark to grab a huge win in Tulsa, 51-48. In a wild, back and forth game that saw both teams take two touchdown leads at one point, the Mustangs prevailed with, of all things, defense.

by Steve Bullard Sometimes things go wrong. And sometimes they go really, really wrong. That more or less sums up the 3rd quarter for the Allen Mustangs Friday night at Mustang Field. After taking a 1614 lead into the locker room, feeling pretty good about things, the next few minutes of the game would reverse that. A quick fumble, followed by a misplayed kickoff which led to a Savage recovery, and an interception turned a 2-point lead into a 34-16 deficit before many fans had found their seats after visiting the concession stand.
