The Allen Chapter of the Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) has started a Happy Hands campaign to encourage students to properly wash their hands and to inform students about the negative impacts of germs.

Allen Little Cheerleaders Perform

The Allen Cheer Boosters will be holding their annual Father/Daughter-Mother/Son Valentine Dance this Saturday, January 28th, in the Allen School Cafeteria. Pictures and dining will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed immediately by the dance. The dance will end at 9:00 p.m.

Candidates interested in filing for municipal office in three Pontotoc County municipalities will file Declarations of Candidacy beginning 8 a.m. Monday, February 6th. Declaration of Candidacy forms must be completed and submitted to the County Election Board no later than 5 p.m.

Week of January 23rd

“CASA” stands for “Court Appointed Special Advocate.” CASA volunteers are community members who are specially trained and appointed by a judge to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in court and other settings.
