The Farmers State Bank will be holding their annual Christmas Open House this coming Friday, December 1st, from 9 am to 3 pm. Friends, area residents, and all customers are invited to drop by and enjoy some coffee, punch and cookies with the staff.

The annual Christmas Party in will be held December 3 at 5:00 p.m., at the Atwood Fire Department. Bring dishes for a potluck dinner.

Area children need to start making their lists to be ready when Santa visits in downtown Allen on Saturday, December 16th. Since there won’t be snow for the reindeer to pull the sleigh, the Jolly Ole Man will arrive by fire truck at 2:00 p.m. and visit with children on west Main Street.

The Atwood Extension Club will again be sending packages to soldiers for Christmas.

The Farmers State Bank is accepting applications for its 2023 Angel Tree. Twenty children, ages birth to 12 years, that meet the DHS Snap Program Guidelines will be accepted on a first-come basis. All applications will be reviewed after the application has been filled out.

Thanksgiving week trash schedule _ Dumpsters will be picked up on regular scheduled day Wednesday Residential poly carts will be picked up Friday. Be patient - it will be a big trash day so they may have to make extra trips. Happy Thanksgiving!!
