Benefit Meal & Auction Saturday for Jesse Nickell
A benefit will be held in Allen this Saturday, January 13th, beginning at 12:00 noon, for Jesse Nickell and his family. Jesse is battling brain cancer. He is currently undergoing treatment under the direction of MD Anderson Hospital in Houston.
The donation-only barbecue dinner will be served in the Allen School Cafeteria. A Silent Auction will be on-going during the meal followed by a Live Auction, and a 50/50 drawing.
Donations for the auction are being accepted and greatly appreciated, especially baked goods. Donated items already include guns, and a fishing trip. Eric Brown will serve as auctioneer.
It is suggested you bring a lawn chair to guarantee a comfortable seat.
Michael Bailey has organized the event and he will be available if you need to drop off your donation before the event. Also other drop points are Glenda’s Laundry Mat, Farmers State Bank and Hisle Brothers in Ada.
Bailey is expecting a huge turn out for the event. “I want everyone to see what small town America is really about, helping out friends and neighbors in their time of need”.
We all know how expensive medical treatment is: the travel, the hotels, eating out, it all adds up fast and Jesse and his family have been battling this for quite a bit of time and it is time for us to help out.

“So grab your check book and come out and help out a great young family. I promise you will be amazed at what happens.”
Jesse and his family would like to thank everyone for all their donations and prayers. Allen and Calvin area people have already stepped up at other fund raisers and they are so grateful for all their generosity.
