Quote of the Week…“We are told that automation is a process that gets all the work done while you just stand there. When we were younger, this process was called Mother.”
Read moreWell, Nancy Pelosi gave in—finally—and signed the big Corona Bill that will hopefully give $1,200 in stimulus dollars to each taxpaying adult. The bill was stagnating for two or three days on her desk before she finally yielded to pressure and wrote her name on it. And what was her “excuse” for holding the bill up? She said she had to take some clauses and words out that “you know who” (Trump) had in it to divert much of the money to billionaires and CEO’s and thus, stealing from we worthy yet suffering taxpayers. So, I guess the money is on its way—to us. I hear the money will be sent to our banks for direct deposit and all you billionaires and CEO’s can just leave the bank lobbies and go home. Nancy cut you out.

Read moreYep, it’s true. The Covid-19 stinks to most of us but not to all. The people testing positive for COVID-19 seem to lose their sense of smell. One victim reported that the diapers no longer smelled. Bad or good. That seems like a potentially good thing to some of us, but we do need our sense of smell. But Covid-19 victims do suffer from Anosmia, a loss of smell. Cooks and chiefs can no longer sniff their garlic, curry and peppers. In fact, this may be the only symptoms for some who test positive for the deadly virus. President Trump is being mocked at how he is handling this new crisis by liberals but what the heck. He can’t do anything right anyway—in their eyes.

Read moreMy dentist up at the VA Hospital had me in his chair the other day and started talking about my options on long term care of my teeth. He mentioned the fact that I was nearly 85 and then spent a few moments giving me a long searching look. “Well, you look like you might live a little longer, so we’ll go ahead and try to fix this other tooth.” I was torn by various emotions as I said, “Well, my mom lived to be 97 and I had one relative to live to be 122 years old.” The dentist gave me his best “Liar-Liar Pants on Fire” look before turning around and looking for another one of those torturous tools that dentist use with such glee on their victims. Actually, my mom did make it to 97 and would have lived longer if she had taken care of herself.
Read moreI watch young people protesting first one thing and then another. They seem to be always looking for a cause. So many of them seem to be filled with bitterness and hatred despite the fact they are living in the greatest country on earth and are blest beyond measure.
Read moreWhen a kid I nearly always welcomed a good snow. Even if it meant wading through the cow lot doing the milking and taking care of ungrateful livestock under bad conditions. Maybe close the school? For sure it changed the looks of things and hid the liter that covered our Oklahoma countryside. At least for a little while. But even then, most of our “snows” were more of a fizzle than anything.
