Service Friday for Donnie McCarn

Donnie McCarn was born December 23, 1950 in Holdenville. He was born to Robert and Belle McCarn. Donnie grew up and attended school in Holdenville where he excelled in baseball and basketball.

After high school, Don worked for Chapman Ranch for several years before going to work as a carpenter with Papa Bob. He then started his career working for Walmart in Loss Prevention. After retiring from Walmart, Don returned to carpentry and building custom homes.

Don is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Belle McCarn, and his daughter Amy Short.

He is survived by his children Angie Faver and husband Lloyd, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Billy McCarn and wife Megan, of Moore; grandchildren Zakk Short of Portland, Oregon, Lucas Short of Mansfield, Texas, Bo and Gracie Faver of Fort Worth, Texas, Kaylin Short of Stephenville, Texas, and Tinlee McCarn of Moore; greatgrandson Jackson Short of Mansfield, Texas; nephew Jason Glass and wife Kelly of Yukon; sister Bobbie Hart and husband Jim of Oklahoma City; sister Debbie McCarn of Shawnee; and many more nephews and nieces.

Viewing will be 2:00pm to 7:00pm, Thursday, October 16th, at Hudson Phillips Funeral Home. Family will greet guest from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, at Hudson Phillips Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 17th, at First Baptist Church of Holdenville with Pastor Dane Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Atwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Zakk Short, Lucas Short, Bo Faver, Brian Hart, Jay Black and Wade Glass. Honorary pallbearers are Pat Wilkerson, Chad Stanford, Denny Langdon and Daniel Alexander.

Services are under the direction of Hudson Phillips Funeral Home.
