Service held for Virginia Hopper

Virginia Mae Hopper of Ada, passed away on September 27, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 18, 1946, in Holdenville, Oklahoma to her parents Walter Applegate and Evilor Caudell Applegate (Brown).
Virginia grew up in the Holdenville are and attended school there until the 8th grade. Virginia was primarily a waitress for most of her She married the love of her life, Elmer Hopper, on February 6, 1963, in Seminole Oklahoma. The two spent many years together until Elmer’s passing in 2013. They were married for fifty wonderful years and created a beautiful family along the way.
Virginia enjoyed crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, fishing, going for walks and cherishing each day. She also loved the Lord and spent a lot of time reading her Bible and sharing this love with her family as well. Virginia will be missed by all of those who met her.
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Elmer Hopper; her son Michael Hopper; her mom Evilor Caudell; her dad Walter Applegate; and many others.
Virginia is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Rodgers and husband John Rodgers of Fittstown, and Annitta Coffee and husband Harold Coffee, of Ada; four granddaughters, Brittany Crow, Rochelle Spray, Autumn Mensch, and Angel Dodson; four grandsons Michael Ensey, J.D. Ensey, Stephen Rodgers and Coty Hopper; ten greatgrandchildren, Christina Spray, Bentley Bullett, Mia Crow, Selah Mensch, Tuff Hopper, Lyrics Hopper, Madalene Foreman, Tyler Mitchell, Caden Ashby, and Korbin Ashby; one sister Estelle Carlise; and several nieces, nephews, and greatgreat- grandchildren.
A funeral service to honor the life of Virginia was held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Phillips Funeral Home in Ada, 2:00 PM, with interment to follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Ensey, J.D. Ensey, Stephen Rodgers, Harold Coffee, Kevin Spray, John Rodgers, Richard Crow, and Coty Hopper.
