The 2023 Allen baseball team’s season started with a 11-0 win over Sasakwa on March the 4th, Since that date the team has played 5 games in the 2 10 days since then and currently have a 3-3 record Second game of that day saw the Tushka Tigers picking up the 16-2 win.
The monthly regular meeting of the Allen town council was held Monday, March 6. Members present were Rhonda Skelton, Dianna Brannan, Delwayne Johnson and Wendell Smith. April Whitehead was absent. This was the last regular meeting that Johnson, Smith and Whitehead will represent their wards. Braylee Dickerson will occupy Whitehead’s seat and the 2 other seats are currently empty. If you are in their wards and are a qualified candidate let city hall know of your interest in filling those seats. New councilmembers will be appointed at a later date.

Join the Allen Masonic Lodge for breakfast Saturday, March 4th, from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m., at the Lodge on West Broadway. The breakfast fundraisers are held the first Saturday of each month with a menu of sausage, biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, hash browns and coffee.

like o movies. Pat and I watched the 1978 production of “Grease” this past week. Paramount spent $6 million on this movie and made all their money back on the first weekend it was released. In case you forgot, it was about teenagers living in the ancient American times of the 1950’s and it is a musical. John Travolta plays the “Greaser” and his pretty little girlfriend is Olivia Newton John. The setting is in a California High School whose principal is Eve Arden and whose coach is played by Sid Caesar who hasn’t won a game in 7 years.
