Lady Mustangs Roll over Clayton - Face Weleetka Friday

The 93-15 victory secured the Lady Mustangs 23 district title, according to Allen sports historian Steven Bullard. The Allen/Clayton game was virtually over within minutes of the opening tip with Allen outscoring their opponent 40-0 in the first quarter.

Mustang Men Defeat Keota Look to Weleetka Friday

The Allen men brought home their 30th district championship home after an 81-44 win over Keota on our home floor Saturday. The Mustangs were very efficient on the offensive side of the game hitting 70% of the 2 point field goals, 35% from three-point land and a perfect 4 for 4 at the charity stripe.

Basketball Regional Tournament

The frigid temperatures have forced the Regional Tournment to be moved back one day. So Friday night the Allen teams will play the opening round of the regional at the Allen gym. Girls tip off at 6:00 boys to follow. Both teams will face Weleetka.

Teams Ready for Playoffs

A Friday night trip to Stonewall brought a win for the Lady Mustangs and return on Saturday for the Allen men. After the girls contest the power to Stonewalls gym was lost and the boys contest was moved to Saturday In a close opening quarter the Allen girls held a 2-point lead.

Teams pick up wins over Latta; Districts Next Week

The Mustangs ended their last home regular season game of the year with BIG wins over Latta. Number 6 in Class 2A Ladies from Latta came to town to face Allen #8 in Class A and it proved to be a great battle. A battle that the Lady Mustangs won 55-49.

Senior Night Next Friday

Four Allen seniors will be honored in a 6:00 p.m. ceremony next Friday evening, January 17th, prior to the Allen/Konawa basketball games.
