Doris (Summer) Lewis passed away at her home in Yukon, Oklahoma on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the age of eighty-eight years.

On January 15, 2022 at 5:53 am, our angel baby, Addalynn Mae Bakken was born sleeping. She weighed 4 lbs 4.5oz. and was 18” long. She was absolutely perfect, sharing features of both her mommy and daddy.

Services for Mariel Cross, 89, of Gerty, are 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 21 , at the Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Gerty. Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Allen Chapel from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Mrs.

Lemesa Wainscott Byrd was born on April 29, 1930 in Stuart, Oklahoma to Pete & Annie (Cross) Wainscott. Lemesa peacefully passed into the arms of her Lord on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the age of 91.

Leo James Arnold, 62, of Allen Oklahoma passed away on Monday January 3, 2022, in Ada, Oklahoma. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, January 21 , at the Kingston Cemetery in Kingston, Oklahoma. A reception will follow at the Kingston First Baptist Church (109 N Main St Kingston).

Margie Lucretia “Lou” Davis passed away at her home on January 12, 2022 at the age of 74. Lou was a resident of Latta, Oklahoma at the time of her passing.

A graveside service for Davis Ray “Bud” Sims will be held for family on Saturday, January 15 , at 10:00 am at the Allen, Oklahoma cemetery with a Celebration of Life to follow at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel in Ada, Oklahoma at noon.

Services for Gladys Johnson, 73, of Ada, were 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 10 , at the Chickasaw Community Center, Rev. Randy Wade officiated. Burial followed at Steedman Cemetery. A wake was held Sunday, January 9 , from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside services will be held Friday, January 21 , in the Kingston Cemetery for Allen resident Leo James Arnold. Mr. Arnold passed away Monday, January 3, 2022. A full obituary will be in a future issue of The Advocate.

Janet Lequita Griffin-Taylor departed this life on Friday, December 31, 2021, at her childhood home in Atwood, Oklahoma at the age of 66.
