The Allen Farmers State Bank will be hosting a Blood Drive on Monday, July 7th, from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. The theme for the drive is “Camp Donor” and donors will receive a Camp Donor t-shirt plus two tickets to either Frontier City or Hurricane Harbor.

With the first Saturday in July falling in the holiday weekend, the Allen Masonic Lodge has made the decision to cancel the July breakfast. Monthly breakfasts will resume on August 2nd.

The annual Gerty Day Reunion has been set for Saturday, June 28th. This year’s event is being hosted by the Blue Devils’ Class of 1965 as they celebrated the 60th anniversary of their high school graduation.

Plans are just now getting underway for Allen’s Independence Celebration. It is set for Saturday July 12th at the Allen Park. We will set times for the parade and then the park activities by next week’s paper.
