Whether you miss the “Old Time Conventions” the political parties stage every four years or not, they are gone. Last week’s Democratic gathering was a virtual thing. As a Democrat myself, just let me say it was not a very inspiring event. The speeches were flat and nothing new was said.

My eyes could not believe what they saw. A mob marching down Shartel St. in Oklahoma City — Breaking windows and making demands. The police were escorting them. Protecting their rights to free speech and the marches continue, to this day. Property damage and wanton vandalism everywhere.

Week of August 17

Our local businesses have a sign on their door saying, “Masks Required.” While many are complying many do not, as I have witnessed numerous times. These business’ employees wear their mask all day long. Please be courteous to them and to others around you by wearing yours.
