Service Saturday for Sharon “Cookie” Alexander

Memorial services for Sharon Kay “Cookie” Alexander, 79, of Holdenville, are 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel in Ada; Rev. Eddie Russell will officiate.

Ms. Alexander passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Holdenville. She was born March 24, 1947, in Chickasha, to Vernie and Irma Houston Whitten. She graduated from Allen High School in 1965.

Cookie was a homemaker and mother to five children. She loved planting large vegetable gardens, playing Bingo, and most of all reading her Bible daily. She loved the Lord and knew there was a home for her in Heaven.

Survivors include her two daughters, Robin Goforth, of Holdenville and Cindy Kile and husband, Steve, of Roff; sister, Vernalene Oelberg, of Iowa; nine grandchildren, Adam Tyler and wife Kristi of Perry, Atlee Kile and wife Kendall of McAlester, Kord Kile and wife Haylie of Latta, Ashton Dennis and husband Matt Liston of Oklahoma City, Dylan Beaty and wife Rachelle of Billings, Kassidy Devlin and husband Luke of Alaska, Magan Sorrels and husband Chase of Wichita, Kansas, Logan Dennis and wife Ashli of Ada, and Mazlin Goforth of Oklahoma City; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Bill Pegg and Greg Wheat; daughter, Darla Beaty; brothers, Bill Whitten and Butch Whitten; and sisters, Jerry Frederick and Betty McDonald.
