There will be no charge for this event, however there will be a registration form and waiver to fill out prior to the race. All participants will receive either a ‘Survivor’ or ‘Infected’ medal.
This event is being sponsored by the group Defi ne Your Direction. This group seeks to INSPIRE teens and young adults to be leaders in their communities and live healthy lifestyles apart from prescription drug and alcohol abuse. By educating teens and young adults about the dangers of both subjects, they are creating a generation of students eager to participate in their communities, live healthy lives and be positive role models. They are grant-funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration in collaboration with the Chickasaw Nation and Southern Plains Tribal Health Board. Visit their website at defineyourdirection.com or their facebook or twitter accounts for more information about their organization.

A group will be on hand to assist with any makeup needs you may have, but if possible come already dressed in your costume.
This event is open to all ages and depending on the amount of participates the chase may be ran in stages, perhaps dividing survivors into age groups.
The choice is yours:
-Be a Runner (human) and run from the Zombies.
-Be a Zombie and pull the runner’s fl ags as they run through your “Zombie Zone.” Runners will be provided a belt with 3 fl ags. Protect these flags, they’re your “life.” Zombies are staged throughout the course ready to chase you and steal your fl ags. Try to survive, if you can... Lose your flags, and you can still finish the course as a runner.
Choose to become a member of the Zombie Horde instead, and polish your human hunting skills while adorned in true fl esh-eating fashion,
RULES (yes, even the apocalypse has rules):
• DO NOT flag guard, hit, trip, tackle, push, grab, or intentionally harm another runner OR Zombie. Zombies are not allowed to touch runners, just fl ags! Only take 1 flag per runner.
As a zombie your job is to grab the runner’s fl ag. You will not run or block the runner from passing, so you can limp, stagger or just growl as long as you don’t run. You will stay on the course the entire length of the race. All zombies that are under 10 years old will need to be accompanied by an adult. Your job is to look and sound scary and wander the course and have fun, there will be a prize for the best zombie costume!
• OBEY course officials at all times. If you violate a rule, you will be removed from the event.
• No weapons: No matter what cool weapon you have to protect your self from the zombie hoarde, this is not the place to show off you skills. This is a fun event and every effort will be made to make sure everyone makes it out safe.
Please refrain from eating any of our runners. They might look tasty, but they’re probably not, and the super-fit ones will be tough to chew.
