Although local voters said no, the millage election held Tuesday for the Pontotoc Technology Center passed by a large margin. In Allen’s Pontotoc County precinct votes were 26 to 17 against the proposal; Hughes County voters tied with equal numbers saying yes and no. Districtwide, the votes were 546 for the proposition and 346 against, 61.21% over 38.79%.
