Nothing much has changed this week in the Town of Allen in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our stores, doctors, pharmacist and bank are working as safely as possible to keep everyone’s needs met.

Our monthly City Council meeting will be held on Monday at 7 p.m. We haven’t for sure set a meeting place where we can all maintain a safe distance from each other. We may possibly meet at the fire station where we can spread out. If anyone has any questions that need to be addressed, contact city hall, message one of the council members or message the Town of Allen Facebook page and we will try to get the answers you are needing. We will issue a new Emergency Proclamation and set forth some new guidelines so that we will be in line with state regulations. Possible discussion items will be closure of the park and maybe lower the curfew times. Everything discussed will be considered keeping in mind to keep everyone as safe as we possibly can.

One thing we have failed to mention much is area churches that are posting their services on their Facebook page. Chad Kaminski of the Allen First Baptist, Buddy Drake of Richmond Ave. Free Will Church, Bro. Ed Rutherford, Allen Church of God of Prophecy have all started posting their sermons on their Facebook page so check those out as we all need a spiritual update.

Please remember our first responders, our medical heroes and the people who work hard to keep our life safe and comfortable in your thoughts and prayers this week. And as always, check on your neighbors
