The Allen teams hosted and split with 2 tough Stratford teams on Tuesday.

In girls action it was all Stratford as allen could only muster 31 points in the game. Calissa Childers led Allen with 11 points and 6 rebounds and 2 steals, Emily Sells 10 points 2 rebounds, Kaylyn Rowsey 8, 1 rebound and 1 steal, Kinlee Cundiff 2 points and a rebound, Jaycee Watkins 1, Kinsey Nix 1 rebound, 1 steal, Maggie Yarbrough 1 rebound and Brooke Sanders 1 rebound. “They out muscled us last night is all you can say,” said Coach Dottie Slabaugh. “But I can guarantee you we will go back to work and put that behind us.”

In the boys contest Allen came out with the 77-50 win. Chad Milne was on fire scoring 40 points, connected on 6 3-pointers and was 6 for 10 at the charity stripe. “Chad was on fire and his teammates were feeding him some great passes,” said Coach Greg Mills. “We were all seeing the floor real well, played some tough defense too.” Milne’s 40 points leaves him 2 points shy of his 1,000 high school point which he almost certainly will get on Friday against Wynnewood. “It would of been great if he could of gotten it at home, but anytime he hits that milestone will be quite an accomplishment.” As exciting as Milne’s scoring was, the rest of the team played just as well. Nathan Hammonds scored 12, Jaren Porter 9, Rylan Black 8, Kason Walker 5 and Airyn 3.

The Mustang teams end 2019 with a trip to Wynnewood on Friday.
