Softball Seniors are Honored

Posted in:

Three young ladies were honored during Fast Pitch Softball’s Senior Night. The ceremony followed the District Tournament win on Wednesday, September 19th .

Not only have these three contributed to this program but they have also activities at Allen School. All three started in Pre-K together and have played softball together throughout their lives.

Stevi Caldwell is the daughter of Stephen and Jennifer Caldwell and has two siblings, Jagger and Seger. Stevi has played softball all four years of high school. She plays catcher and wears the number 5.

Her says her favorite memory happened when the team went to Broken Bow last spring and stayed in a cabin. In the middle of the night, Coach Parnell tumbled down the stairs and then yelled at us for laughing so hard at him because it was such a loud thud.

Stevi’s future plans include attending the University of Oklahoma to major in Nursing and eventually become a Nurse Practitioner.

Meegan Costner is the daughter of Tim and Lesli Costner and has one sister, Emilee. Meegan wears the number 25 and plays first base for the Lady Mustangs. She has played for four years.

Her most memorable moment is also from the Broken Bow Trip. Apparently Coach Parnell tripped over a barstool in the middle of the night—which caused a lot of noise, and so for payback, he let all of the air out of Maddy and Kaylyn’s air mattress.

Meegan’s future plans are to attend college and become a nurse anesethist.

Sunzie Harrison has three siblings, Taylor, Quinton, and Stoney and is daughter of Melissa Walker and Jeremiah Cully. She has also played all four years of high school softball. Sunzie plays 3rd base and wears number 7.

Her favorite memory happened in Oklahoma City when the Lady Mustangs went to state in the spring. Sunzie and her accomplices put toothpaste on Coach Parnell’s taco making it look like sour cream. They asked him later how his taco tasted and he said it was really good.

Sunzie’s future plans include attending college next fall.
