Allen’s Basketball Senior Night will be held this Tuesday, February 8 ^th , just prior to the start of the last home game. The 6:00 pm ceremony will honor two Mustangs and two Lady Mustangs.

Mustangs to be recognized are Jake Beavert and William Kaminski; Taylor Harrison and Cheyene McCarn will be honored as graduating Lady Mustangs.

The ceremony will be followed by a 6:30 tip-off as the Lady Mustangs take on the Savanna Lady Bulldogs. The boys’ game will follow.

Allen vs Tupelo

The Lady Mustangs garnered another win last Friday over the Lady Tigers of Tupelo, 55-26.

Scoring for the local Ladies were Taylor Harrison, 6; Maggie Yarbrough, 2; Maycee Davis, 8; Ava Laden, 10; Alexis Slabaugh, 3; Cheyene McCarn, 11; Brooklyn Sanders, 5; and Kaylee Davis, 10.

When the Tigers left town on Friday, January 28 ^th , they left with their tails draggin’. The Mustangs were victorious 51-33.

Scoring for the Mustangs were Keithon Howard, 2; Garrett Nix, 17; Brayden Tatum, 29; Sedrick Lindsey, 1; and Jake Beavert, 2.

Allen vs Strothers

The Mustangs and Lady Mustangs were on the road this past Tuesday, traveling to Strothers to take on the Yellowjackets.

The outing was painful for the local Ladies, they took the loss 53-34.

District/Regional Play

District play will begin on Friday, February 11 ^th , and be hosted here at

Masonic Breakfast Join the Allen Masonic Lodge for breakfast Saturday, February 5 ^th , from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m., at the Lodge on West Broadway. The breakfast fundraisers are held the first Saturday of each month with a menu of sausage, biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, hash browns and coffee.

The meal will be served free of charge but donations will be accepted and greatly appreciated. the Allen gym. Friday evening will have the ladies of Elmore City-Pernell take on the Velma-Alma ladies. Allen’s Lady Mustangs will face the winner of that contest on Saturday at 6:30.

The Mustangs will take on Elmore City-Pernell this Friday evening at 8:00 with the winner facing the Velma-Alma team at 8:00 on Saturday.

Allen will also host first round of Regional play on Thursday, February 17 ^th .
