This Saturday will be a big day in Allen. After waiting and being ever so patient, all area children are welcome to come downtown to visit with Santa and finalize their wish lists before Christmas. Plans are for him to arrive in town at 2:00 p.m. He will be seated on one of Allen’s fire trucks and stop in the center of the 100 block of West Broadway.

And then the crowd will move east to the front of the Allen Food Center for the Chamber “Shop at Home” drawing at 3:00. Bring all the tickets you have been given for shopping at the local stores and hope your number is called. Six lucky people will go home $100 richer. Remember, you must be present to win and only winner per household.
