The Allen City Council has accepted Randy Lee Minyard to serve as the local Chief of Police and he assumed the duties this past Monday, June 19th.

Mr. Minyard has a background in law enforcement having served as an officer and chief of police for the town of Stratford and worked for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections among other positions. He is a C.L.E.E.T. Instructor and Active Shooter Instructor through the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. Minyard and his wife Tanya make their home in Ada.

He states his objective is to better protect, serve and improve the community.

Officer Minyard replaces Brett Edens who took a job as a teacher and coach with Allen Public Schools.
